A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION
THIS CHAPTER WAS FORMED
TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO TEAMSTER RETIREES,
IN PROTECTING THEIR RIGHTS, IMPROVING THEIR BENEFITS
WHILE PRESERVING THE IDEALS OF UNIONISM.
ADDITIONALLY,
FURNISHING THEM WITH A PLACE
WHERE THEY COULD HAVE LUNCH,
SPEND SOME TIME SOCIALIZING WITH THEIR PEERS
WHILE AFFORDING THEM THE OPPORTUNITY
OF DISCUSSING ISSUES OF CONCERN
AND PRESENTING THEM BEFORE THE MEMBERSHIP.
THE MONTHLY
MEETINGS KEEP THE MEMBERS INFORMED
OF MATTERS RELEVANT TO TEAMSTER RETIREES
WHILE ALSO BEING UPDATED
WITH CURRENT TEAMSTER NEWS.
COMBINED,
THIS HELPS THE MEMBERS MAINTAIN
A CLOSER TIE WITH THEIR LOCAL UNION
AND THE WORKING TEAMSTERS.

WHO HAVE RETIRED IN GOOD STANDING,
FROM A UNION LOCAL AFFILIATED WITH THE
INTERNATIONAL BROTHERHOOD OF TEAMSTERS.

ARE HELD EACH MONTH AT 11:30 A.M. AT

HELD ANNUALLY
FOR MEMBERS, THEIR SPOUSES
AND GUESTS.

Some of the types of work by our Members:
* Helping with picketing & leafleting,
* Manning phone banks at election time,
* Contributing annually to Teamsters DRIVE,
* Following politics closely and support politicians
who prove to be in the best interest of everyone,
* Drawing up petitions whenever a just cause is needed, whether it
involves national or local issues.

A few of the many ways by which our Members "repay":
* Volunteering our services to hospitals & Nursing Homes,
* Delivering "Meals on Wheels",
* Holding annual clothing drives,
* Conducting food drives,
* Participating in the "Adopt-A-Highway" program.
* Sponsoring youth sports teams.
